Interprofessional Collaboration

A diverse young group of professionals collaborating together and sharing ideas in the form of a meeting or workshop.

As students progress through the courses the interaction and collaboration with other students is a vital component of learning. They will compare perceptions, values, roles and experience across professions and disciplines. Fostering this collaboration across organisational and professional boundaries, we will develop a community of practice that will be well equipped to provide the highest standards of care.

Postgraduate students will join a community of leading mental health specialist educators, clinicians and people with lived experience, to improve the mental health and wellbeing of people in NSW and beyond. This learning experience will ensure that students can understand and work alongside other professionals in patient focused recovery-oriented care.

Students will be able to contribute to mental health care that recognises the uniqueness of the individual and work with families and carers as partners in care. This in turn should contribute to a safer, more dignified and compassionate mental health delivery.
